I have spent 25 years designing experiences that change what people do — in clinics, communities, and boardrooms across 30+ countries.
I have worked on HIV, adolescent reproductive health, malaria, contraception, safe water, and maternal and child health. I have led product launches and campaigns, sat with governments, global health agencies, pharmaceutical companies, foundations, private sector businesses, and the young people all of them are trying to reach.
The insight that runs through all of it: people don't change because of pressure, fear, or facts. They change because of how they feel in the moment they are asked to. Get the conditions right, and behavior follows. Get them wrong, and no amount of clever messaging will save you.
That insight is the foundation of Elixir Creative — a consulting practice built for organizations that want to design better moments. For patients, for communities, for teams, for the people they serve. My framework is Health, Hospitality & Harmony: experiences and stories that promote wellbeing, make people feel genuinely welcomed and seen, and build the conditions for trust across difference. This is not soft work. It is some of the most precise, high-leverage work available to any organization that wants to matter to the people it serves.
It is also what led me to make a period kit.
A girl's first period is one of the most consequential small moments in a young person's life. It arrives without warning, often in the wrong place at the wrong time, and the conditions around it can shape how she understands her own body for years. The Emergency First Moon Kit is a compact, thoughtfully designed emergency kit built for exactly that moment — available with a buy-one-give-one model that puts kits in the hands of girls who are experiencing homelessness.
Same philosophy in a small, physical package and higher stakes than you'd think—ask any woman you know.
I am available for brand and campaign strategy, facilitation and retreat design, human-centered design research, behavior change communication, and experience architecture for health and social impact organizations. I work well with teams who know what they want to do and need someone to help figure out how — and with teams still working out what they want to become.
If that sounds like you, let's talk.
